Grace Lucille Stewart McCarthy

Grace Lucille Stewart McCarthy, 91, formerly of Calhoun St., widow of James A. McCarthy Jr., died Saturday, May 22, 2004, at Rockwood Care & Rehab Center in Tennessee.

She was the daughter of the late William and Carrie Stewart.

She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Abbeville.

Surviving are son, Michael S. McCarthy Sr. of Kingston, Tenn.; daughter, Rebecca G. Chandler of Pawleys Island; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, James A. McCathy III.

Services are at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church, Abbeville by the Rev. Reiny Koschel; burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens, Greenwood. The body is at Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home.
