Grace Simpson Campbell

Grace Simpson Campbell, 96, of 541 Nation Road, Nation Community, died Monday, May 19, 2003 at Abbeville County Memorial Hospital.

Born in Abbeville, she was a homemaker and a member of Bells United Methodist Church.

Surviving are daughters, Joan Dickson, Muriel Hanna and Linda Waits, all of Abbeville; sons, Kenneth Campbell and Lawrence Campbell, both of Abbeville; sister, Mary Hill of Abbeville; 16 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was the widow of J. Earl Campbell and the daughter of the late Matthew Alexander and Ema Cann Simpson. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Erline Hodges; and a son, Harold Campbell.

Services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bells United Methodist Church by the Rev. Lowry Drennen; burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body is at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

The family is at the home.
