Gloria Teague Adams

Gloria Teague Adams, 76, of Iva, wife of the late William J. 'Bill' Adams, died Thursday, May 16, 2024, at her home.  She was born in Oconee County to the late Anderson George Teague and Missouri Smith Teague.

A gracious and loving mother, Gloria was known for her kind and caring nature.  Her dedication to serving meals to the children at Calhoun Elementary school cafeteria in Anderson touched the lives of many within the school and community.  Outside of work, Gloria had a passion for crafting, with a special love for creating beautiful baskets and wreaths.  Her handmade crafts brought joy to those around her and left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.  Gloria was a member of Iva First Assembly of God.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Tracy and Curtis Black; six brothers and three sisters.

Gloria is survived by her children, Shane Black and Dana McBride (Nathan), all of Iva; seven sisters, Lois Smith Taylor, Shelby T. Craine, Cindy Reed, Janet Oakley, Anita Richardson, Trudy Black and Pat Nix; two brothers, Tony Teague and Randell Teague; a son-in-law, Joe Lawless; a daughter-in-law, Wanda Black; ten grandchildren, Chrissy, Brayden, Brooke, Britney, Brent, Logan, Caden, Izabella, Camden, Kenslee and Alexa; and six great-grandchildren, Madison, Ava, Sawyer, Corbin, Addison and Weston.

The family will receive friends 11:00AM – 12:00 PM, Monday, May 20, 2024, at Harris Funeral Home.   Funeral services will begin at 12:30 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Charlie Howell officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
