Glenn Ellis Ferguson, 17, of 286 Wilton Road died Saturday, May 3, 2003.
Born in Greenwood, he was an junior at Abbeville High School. He was a star pitcher for the Abbeville High School baseball team. He was also a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
Surviving are his parents, Billy and Miriam C. Ferguson of the home; brother, Byran Ferguson of Abbeville; maternal grandmother, Madeline Ellis; grandfather, L.E. Chafin of Washington, Ga.; paternal grandparents, Ruth and Maxie Ashley of Abbeville; and great-grandmother, Mildred Ellis of Abbeville.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James "Bobby" Ellis; and paternal grandfather, George Ferguson.
Services are at 4 p.m. Monday at Friendship Baptist Church by the Revs. Wendell Rhodes and John Parks; burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. The body is at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
The family will be at the home.
