Glen M. McGee, 80, of Abbeville, SC, husband of Caroline Gilchrist McGee, died Sunday, June 14, 2026, at the Abbeville Area Medical Center. He was born on June 16, 1945 in Orangeburg, SC to the late Glenburn Murray McGee Sr. and Margaret Hoover McGee Morrow.

Glen graduated from Williston-Elko High School before pursuing higher education at the University of South Carolina, where he completed his undergraduate studies. Demonstrating a strong dedication to the field of law, he went on to graduate from the University of South Carolina School of Law. His legal career was extensive and notable, practicing law in Columbia, SC, as well as in Williston in Barnwell County and Hilton Head. Glen also served honorably as a probate judge.  He held the rank of Lieutenant in the South Carolina National Guard, reflecting his commitment to his state and country. Glen was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of Barnwell Lodge 180. His enthusiasm for college football was well-known, especially his support for the Carolina Gamecocks. Glen adored all of his family, but his grandson, Cullen, held a very special place in his heart.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William McGee.

Glen is survived by his wife of 59 years, Caroline, of the home; his daughter, Chellie Amagliani (Michael) of Bluffton, SC; and his grandson, Cullen Amagliani.

Honoring Glen’s request, there will be no services.
