Gerald Vigneault

Gerald E. Vigneault, 95, of Abbeville, husband of Charlotte Shedd Vigneault, died Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood, SC.

Mr. Vigneault enjoyed a successful career as an aircraft engineer, retiring after 40 years of dedicated service with GE Electric in Lynn, MA. In addition to his professional accomplishments, he also demonstrated unwavering commitment to his country, serving in the United States Army during the Korean War. Mr. Vigneault found great joy in traveling, sailing and reading. The outdoors captivated him; he enjoyed building and repairing things, often immersing himself in projects that combined creativity with craftmanship. Mr. Vigneault worshipped at Midway Baptist Church.

Mr. Vigneault is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Charlotte; five children, daughter, Janet Vigneault Reardon; sons, Steven and Judy Kellar, Robert and Eva Vigneault, Michael and Rebecca Kellar, and Denis and Luz Vigneault; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mr. Vigneault was born in Manchester, NH to the late Alphonse and Antoinette Trudel Vigneault. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
