Luke George Adams

Luke George Adams, 87, of Calhoun Falls, husband of Carole Carithers Adams, died Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at his home. He was born in Winder, GA to the late George L. and Maudie B. Clack Adams.

Mr. Adams dedicated many years to the textile industry before retiring. When able he attended Lake Russell Baptist Church and found joy in fishing, coin collecting, gardening, and maintaining lawn mowers.

His life was marked by a commitment to his family, faith, and his various interests, leaving a lasting impact on those who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Bemis; five sisters, Ruth, Mae, Margaret, Burice and Bonnie and a brother, Clinton Adams.

Surviving Mr. Adams, is his wife, Carole of 62 years of the home, two sons, Gregory C. Adams of Abbeville and Keith Adams (Patrice) of Calhoun Falls, three grandchildren, Luke Randel Adams, Emma Adams, and Jake Adams (Natalie); a great-granddaughter, Elowyn Lainey; close family friends Kevin Shiflet and LaDonna Bowman; and special pet dog, Gypsy.

The family will receive friends from 1:00PM to 2:00PM on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Harris Funeral Home, Calhoun Falls Chapel, 526 E. Savannah St. Calhoun Falls, SC 29628. Funeral services will be 2:30PM on Saturday in the funeral home chapel. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens,
