Geneva Lance Rogers

Geneva ‘Jean’ Lance Rogers, 86, of Columbia, SC, died Thursday, May 18, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Anderson, SC to the late Paul and Myrtice Sullivan Lance

Affectionately known as ‘Jean’, she was employed as a real estate broker for many years. Also an entrepreneur, Jean was a lady of many talents.  She had a caring nature for animals and especially enjoyed bird watching.  A loving and devoted mother and grandmother, Jean cherished the times spent with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Joyce Davis; and brother, Jerry Lance.

Jean is survived by her children, Judy Corley (Robert) of Saluda, SC, Janet Davis of Columbia, SC and Jeff Davis (DeAnne) of Snellville, GA; brother, Lamar Lance (Ila) of Cross Hill, SC; five grandchildren, Lexi, Zach, Kacie, Shawn and Shannon (Lynne); and three great-grandchildren, Jacob, Cole and Emilee.

The family will receive friends 1:00PM – 2:00PM, Sunday, May 21, 2023, in Harris Funeral Home, 302 North Main Street, Abbeville, SC 29620. Funeral services will begin at 2:00PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Bill Haselden officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
