Gary Wayne Straight, 70, of Calhoun Falls, SC, died October 15, 2021 at his home. He was born in Morgantown, WV to the late Leonard J. Straight, Sr. and Freda D. Riggleman Straight.
A graduate of Morgantown High School, Gary was employed with Morgantown Glass and Mirror as a young man. He relocated to Buford, GA following the death of his father and worked in the maintenance department at the Atlanta Falcons training camp until his retirement. After the death of his companion, Ruth Self, Gary moved to Calhoun Falls, SC. He enjoyed fishing, spending time in nature and with his friends. Watching old westerns and comedies was a favorite past time. Gary was always available and willing to help anyone who had a need.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Leonard John Straight, Jr.
Gary is survived by his children, Gary Wayne Straight, Jr. of Fleming WV, Audra Straight of WV, Joy Lynn Straight Leonard of Arkansas and Joseph L. Straight of Fairmont, WV.; a sister, Gloria J. Straight Morgan of Morgantown, WV; and a special friend, Ed Scott of Elberton, GA.
