Gail Phillips Norris

Gail Phillips Norris, 60, wife of Tim Norris, of Abbeville died Thursday, May 23, 2019 at her home. She was born in Greenwood to the late Henry and Estelle Morgan Phillips.
Gail was a 1976 graduate of Greenwood High School. She was employed with Winn-Dixie in Abbeville and Greenwood for 28 years. Gail later graduated with honors from Piedmont Technical College in 2009. This exemplified her desire to better prepare herself for life and be of service to others. She worshiped at Missionary Movement Church.
In addition to her parents, Gail was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Wilma Norris and a brother-in-law, David Norris, and his wife, Sudie.
She is survived by her husband, Tim, of the home; a son, Jacob Norris (Tiffany) of Greenwood; grandchildren, William, Colton and AnnaBrooke Norris; a brother, John Phillips (Alison) of Abbeville; brothers-in-law, Billy Norris (Brenda) and George Norris (Pam); sisters-in-law, Carol, Tina, Gina and Gloria Norris and Nancy Fogle (Andy); beloved cousins and caregivers, Danny and DeRhonda Henderson (Hannah and Sadie); dedicated friend and caregiver, Tommy Morris and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 10:00AM – 11:30AM, Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Harris Funeral Home, Abbeville Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 12:00Noon in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ray Massey officiating. Burial will follow in Long Cane Cemetery.
The family expresses their sincere appreciation to Dr. Trey Moore, Dr. Glenn Scott, the staff of Abbeville Area Medical Center and Hospice Care of South Carolina (Patrice and Cherrelle) for their attentive care and compassion given to Gail and her family.
