Gabriel 'Gabe' Christian Smith

Gabriel C. ‘Gabe’ Smith, 21, of Abbeville, died suddenly on Saturday, January 30, 2021 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

Gabe attended BHP High School and was employed with Kelletts Framing. An avid sportsman, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. Gabe was the proud father of two daughters; time spent with them always brought him much joy.

He is survived by his mother, Melinda (T. John Cobb) of Greenwood; his two daughters, Gabriella Faith Smith and Gracelynn Naomi Smith of Abbeville; his companion and mother of his children, Kimberly Dawn Kellett, of Abbeville; two brothers, Drake Smith (Jocelyn) of Calhoun Falls and Ricky Smith (Abigail) of the Nation Community in Abbeville; and a host of extended family and friends.

Those wishing to pay their respects and sign the book may visit Harris Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 between the hours of 3:00PM - 6:00PM.

Funeral services to celebrate Gabe’s life will be 1:00PM, Wednesday, February 3, 2021 in the Harris Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Caleb L. Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Long Cane Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the graveside.
