Francis Clarence Dusenberry

Francis C. Dusenberry, 91, died December 17, 2016. Born in Due West, SC he was a graduate of Clemson University and had served in the Army Air Corps flying 36 missions in the B-17 during WWII.

Mr. Dusenberry had been a Hampton resident since 1979, retired from the USAF after 30 years of service and then worked with Harrison & Lear Real Estate. He was a master gardener and volunteered with the Virginia Tech Agricultural Extension, was a member of the Phoebus Lions Club and was a huge Clemson Tiger fan.

Mr. Dusenberry was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Preston Williams Dusenberry, and is survived by his daughter, Gayle D. Jackson; son, John P. Dusenberry and wife Miriam; grandchildren, Marcus Dusenberry and Meredith Dusenberry; and a great-grandchild, Madilyn.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 1:00 PM in Melrose Cemetery in Abbeville with full military honors.
