Evelyn Hill Byrd

Evelyn Hill Byrd, 84, formerly of Abbeville, wife of Benjamin F. Byrd, died Saturday, March 30, 2002, at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Fla.
Born in Winder, Ga., she was a daughter of the late Raleigh and Mattie Mahaffey Hill. She was a homemaker and a member of the Eastern Star and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband of the home; three sons, Benjamin F. Byrd Jr. of Dallas, Robert W. Byrd of Belleair, Fla., and John B. Byrd of Winston-Salem, N.C.; a daughter, Elizabeth A. Byrd of Belleair; a sister, Janell Cook of Atlanta; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services are 3 p.m. Thursday in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Reiny Koschel.
Visitation is after the services at The Belmont Inn Hotel.
Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
Ramey Funeral Home is in charge, directed by Chandler-Jackson.
