Emily Ellen Erwin (Lewis)

Emily Lewis Erwin, 44, of Abbeville, SC, wife of Jim Erwin, died Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Elyria, OH to David and Teresa Haney Lewis.

A 1995 graduate of Abbeville High School, Emily was employed as the Manager of the Mattress Factory in Greenwood, SC. As Past President of the Abbeville/Greenwood Jaycees, she thrived in always helping others. Passionate about her family, friends and community, her vibrant personality was a light to all that knew and loved her. Emily was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by a childhood friend, who was more like a sister, Aimee Scoggins Flynn.

Emily is survived by her husband, Jim, of 19 years of the home; her three sons, Lane Erwin (Iliade) of Charleston, SC, Jesse James Erwin (Maghen) of Knoxville, TN, and Ethan Andrew Erwin (Jessica) of Abbeville, SC; her parents, David and Teresa Lewis of Abbeville, SC; two sisters; Chanda L. Ferguson and Krista L. Uldrick (Dan) all of Abbeville, SC; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mike and Nancy Erwin of Abbeville, SC; several nieces and nephews; a very special friend, Melanie C. Smith; and numerous extended family and friends.

A service to celebrate Emily’s life will be 1:00PM, Saturday, October 16, 2021, in Grace United Methodist Church with the Rev. Brandon Fulmer officiating.

The family is at the home.
