Douglas (Doug) Lee Campbell

Doug Lee Campbell, aged 65, passed away on July 10, 2023 at his home in Abbeville County. He was the beloved husband of Sherry Smith. Doug was born in Abbeville County to the late Alvin O. and Irene Boyd Campbell.

Doug was a proud graduate of Dixie High School, Class of 1978. He held strong to his Presbyterian faith throughout his life. For several years, he dedicated his time and skills to the Perry Correctional Institution. Beyond his professional endeavors, Doug found solace and joy in nature as an avid turkey and deer hunter. He pursued this passion as a member of the Elbert County Gun Club.

Doug is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Sherry, who stood by his side throughout their journey together.
