Doug 'Quail Bird' Ray Partridge Sr.

Douglas ‘Quail Bird’ Ray Partridge, Sr., 63, of Calhoun Falls, husband of the late Susan Williams Partridge died Sunday, August 2, 2020 at his home. He was born in Fort Worth, TX, the son of the late Samuel Curtis and Roberta Partridge and Almeana Jett Allensworth Partridge.
A graduate of Calhoun Falls High School, Quail Bird was an electrician by trade, most recently being employed with Hill Electric. He enjoyed fishing and cooking, especially hash, which was a favorite dish. Many happy hours were spent with his family and best friend, ‘Fuji.’ His grandchildren were the lights of his life; he was their biggest fan while they were playing sports. Quail Bird was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Calhoun Falls.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Curtis Partridge.
Quail Bird is survived by his daughter, Misty Bruce (Brian) of Abbeville; a son, Doug Partridge, II (Annah Hill) of Calhoun Falls; a brother, Rob Partridge (Sherry) of Kansas; two sisters, Tina Partridge Schnaitman (John) of Phoenix, AZ and Carla Purvis (Eric) of Kansas; four grandchildren, Will, Drew and Hanna Patterson and Drake Partridge; his brother-in-law, Eddie Williams (CJ) of Lowndesville; and two sisters-in-law, Rebekah Parnell (Aubrey) of Calhoun Falls and Ruthey Pitts (Bob) of Elberton, GA.
A service to celebrate Quail Bird’s life will be held 2:00PM, Wednesday, August 5, 2020 in Northside Baptist Church with Pastor Dewayne Lambeth and Mr. Darrell Brown officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
The family is at the home of Misty and Brian Bruce in Abbeville.
