Harold D. 'Doug' McCall

Harold D. ‘Doug’ McCall, 83, of Calhoun Falls, beloved husband of Linda Powell Willoughby McCall, died on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at his home. He was born in Calhoun Falls on December 11, 1942 to the late Lawrence Earl McCall and Pauline Haralson McCall.

He attended Calhoun Falls High School and served in the South Carolina National Guard. He retired with over 40 years of dedicated service from the former Pirelli Cable Corp (Prysmian). Doug loved fishing and spending time outdoors. He enjoyed attending church and never met a stranger, always taking time to talk with everyone he met. One of Doug’s most cherished qualities was his deep love for his family. A devoted member of Lowndesville Pentecostal Holiness Church, Doug faithfully served as a former Deacon and remained committed to his church throughout his life.

In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by brother-in-law; Garnett Hall, and a son-in-law; Jeff McKellar.

Doug is survived by his wife of 37 years, Linda; his children, Regina McKellar of Elberton, GA, Tony McCall (Buffy) of Calhoun Falls, Johnny Willoughby (Tina) of Iva, Tony Willoughby and Rev. Scotty Willoughby (Pam) all of Lowndesville; sister, Jeanette Hall of Honea Path; brother, William McCall (June) of Calhoun Falls; eleven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 1:30PM – 2:30PM, Monday, June 22, 2026, at Lowndesville Pentecostal Holiness Church. Funeral services will begin at 3:00PM in the church sanctuary. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Smyrna Cemetery.
