Doris Hawthorne

Doris Balentine Hawthorne, 92, resident of Summit Place Assisted Living passed away Friday June 29, 2018 at the Summit Place.
Born in Ware Shoals, SC she was a daughter of the late Homer Balentine and Elizabeth Beeks Balentine.
Doris was a retired Librarian and homemaker. She was a devoted member of Greenville Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include: her son Gregory Hawthorne (Callie) of Honea Path, SC; a daughter Susan Richardson of Gaffney, SC; two brothers Phillip Balentine of Ware Shoals, SC and Davis Balentine of Greenville, SC; a sister Joyce Martin of Mauldin, SC; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Doris's life will be conducted Sunday July 1, 2018 at 3:00 PM in Greenville Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Tom Pittman officiating.
