Donald "Donnie" McMurry Ouzts

Donald "Donnie" McMurry Ouzts, 63, of 579 Noble Drive died Monday, Dec. 8, 2003, in Abbeville.

Born in Abbeville County, he was a former deputy sheriff with the Abbeville County Sheriff?s Department. He was a constable with the Abbeville County Magistrate Office. He was a mason and a member of The Clinton Lodge 3 AFM. He attended Rice Memorial Baptist Church in Greenwood.

Surviving are widow, Jean Scott Ouzts of the home; sons, Kevin Ouzts and Chris Ouzts, both of Abbeville; brothers, William R. "Tommy" Wilson of Abbeville and Maurice "Jimmy" Ouzts Jr. of Marysville, Calif.; two grandsons; and one great-grandson.

He was the son of the late Maurice William and Lucille Thompson Ouzts.

Graveside services are at 11 a.m. Thursday at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with the Revs. Alvin Hodges and Ray Massey officiating. The body is at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home in Abbeville.

The family is at the home.
