Diana M. Leary, 71, of Abbeville, wife of Daniel S. Leary, died Thursday, June 21, 2018 at her home. She was born in Rochester, NY to the late William Crawford Woleslagle and Mary ay Gerstner Woleslagle.
Diana was a 1965 graduate of Brockport High School in NY. Before moving to South Carolina, she was employed with Eastman Kodak Corporation in Rochester, NY and Wegmans as a master baker. Diana retired from Milliken & Co. – Sharon Plant as a weaver. She enjoyed baking, often sharing with family and friends. Diana spent happy hours on the golf course. She was of the Catholic faith, but worshipped at Abbeville Church of God over the years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Wade Woleslagle and her son-in-law, Chris Harrison.
Diana is survived by her husband ,Daniel, of 47 years of the home; two daughters, Danielle Harrison (Jason Taylor) of Abbeville and Nicole Leary of Greenwood; a brother, Bill Woleslagle (Deb) of Upstate, NY; a sister, Nancy Townsend of Medina, NY; six grandchildren, Tyler Bryan, Erica Harrison (Kevin), Diana Paige Leary (Rutger), Angel Harrison (K.D.), Lizzie Harrison and Christopher Harrison; three great-grandchildren, Kyla, Ella and Colt; a step grand-daughter, Abigale Taylor; a brother-in-law, Kevin J. Leary and sister-in-law, Kathy Twardak (Frank) both of Rochester, NY; two nieces and one nephew.
A Celebration of Diana’s Life will be 11:00AM, Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the Abbeville Church of God with Rev. Jeffery Timmerman and Rev. Richard Laster officiating. A private family burial will be held at M.J. “Dolly” Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations, in Diana’s memory, be sent to Hospice Care of SC, 110 Dillon Dr., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
