Derrick Eugene Stone

Derrick Eugene Stone, 52, husband of Jane Plummer Stone, of Abbeville died Saturday, October 19, 2019 at his home. He was born in Abbeville to Harriett Lumpkin Stone and the late James Kyle Stone.

A graduate of Abbeville High School, Derrick enjoyed listening to music with country and rock and roll being his favorites. Many happy hours were spent watching old western movies. He held his family close to his heart and as a believer in Christ, private time in prayer was important to him.

Derrick is survived by his wife of 14 years, Jane, of the home; his mother, Harriett; a daughter, Andrea Stone (Justin); his sister, Roxanne Stone Trantham (Keith); and a granddaughter, Rylan Wood, all of Abbeville. He also leaves behind a wide circle of extended family and friends.

All services will be private.
