Dendy Ray Ross

Dendy ‘Ray’ Ross, 64, of Greenwood, husband of Neile Noblin Ross, died Friday, July 26, 2019 at his home.  He was born in Elbert County, GA to the late B.F. Ross and Frances Haralson Ross Burton.

A 1972 graduate of Calhoun Falls High School, formerly employed with CSX Railroad as an Engineer, Ray was affectionately known as ‘D.R. Ross’ by his railroad associates.  He was a member of Plum Branch Baptist Church.

Ray is survived by his wife of 18 years, Neile, of the home; three brothers, Harold Ross (Dottie) of West Columbia, Tom Ross of Arizona, Barry Ross (Zsófi) of Sevierville, TN; four step-brothers; two special nieces, Ella Wood and Lily Chapman and several other nieces and nephews

The family will receive friends 12:00PM – 1:00PM, Monday, July 29, 2019 at Harris Funeral Home.  A Celebration of Ray’s Life will begin at 1:30PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor John Noblin officiating.

The family is at the home of Nicole Chapman, 115 Elliott Street, Greenwood, SC 29649.
