Debbie J. Jones

Debbie J. Jones, 68, of Belton, wife of Jerry Jones, died Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial.  She was born in Anderson, SC to the late Jasper Bonner and Betty Hall Johnson.

Debbie was known not only for her warmth and kindness but also for her deep love of family. Her devotion knew no bounds as she dedicated herself to taking care of loved ones with unwavering compassion.  Aside from her nurturing nature, Debbie found joy in simple pleasures like reading, scrapbooking, and cross-stitching. These hobbies spoke volumes about her creative spirit and meticulous attention to detail.  She was a member of Jones Chapel Church of God of Prophecy in Belton.

Debbie is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jerry, of the home; two daughters, Bonnie (Kevin) Lindley of Abbeville and Missie (Chris) Roach of Belton; five grandchildren, Jessica (William) Sutton, Landon (Kelsey) Epps, Michaila (Bailey) Morgan, Kourtney (Bryar) Lindley and Addison Roach; three great-grandchildren, Madilyn Sutton, Gavin Sutton and Lawson Morgan; brother, Walter ‘Chop’ (LaDonna) Johnson of Honea Path; and niece and nephew, Brandon (Rebekah) Johnson and Ana (Zachary) MacInnis.

The family will receive friends from 1:00PM – 2:00PM, Friday, May 10, 2024, at Jones Chapel Church of God of Prophecy, 2433 Jones Chapel Rd., Belton, SC 29627.  Funeral services will begin at 2:30PM in the church sanctuary with Pastor Brent McMasters and Erline Pruitt officiating.  Burial will follow in Mt. Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, 2603 Due West Hwy., Belton, SC 29627.

Memorial contributions, in memory of Debbie, may be sent to Jones Chapel Children’s Fund, 2433 Jones Chapel Road, Belton, SC 29627.
