Crystal McCurry Wallace

Crystal McCurry Wallace, 47, of Calhoun Falls, wife of John Wallace, died Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at her home. She was born in Fort Worth, TX to Kimberly Devore Floyd and the late Jerry Douglas McCurry.

Throughout her life, Crystal was cherished deeply by those who knew her. She was known to many as ‘YaYa’. Crystal’s legacy is one of warmth and devotion, particularly to her family, who stood at the center of her heart. She was a person who found joy in the company and care of animals, with a special place reserved for her beloved dogs, companions who brought immeasurable happiness and comfort to her days. Crystal worshipped at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Greenwood, SC.

In addition to her father, Doug, she was preceded in death by her son, Jerry D. Wallace.

Crystal is survived by her husband of 29 years, John, of the home; her mother, Kimberly of Promise Land; daughter, Helen Corona (Ivan); four grandchildren, Ava, Alaina, Mateo and Andera Corona; brother, Travis McCurry (Katie) all of Greenwood; sister, Misty McCool (Sterling) of Mississippi; brother-in-law, Jesse Wallace (Bridget); sister-in-law, Bernice Harter (Yurgen); and numerous nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate Crystal’s life will be 2:00PM, Sunday, March 29, 2026, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 2511 McCormick Hwy., Greenwood, SC 29646.
