Carol L. Ashley

Carol L. Ashley, 82, of Calhoun Falls, S.C, passed away peacefully at home on February 4, 2026. He was born in the Buck Stand Community of Abbeville County to the late Ira John Hampton Ashley and Margaret Link Ashley.

Mr. Ashley dedicated 36 years of service to Burlington Mills before retiring. Throughout his life, he was a passionate supporter of his favorite sports teams, particularly the University of South Carolina Gamecocks, where he fervently cheered for both the Lady Gamecock Basketball and Gamecock Football teams. Additionally, he held a deep admiration for the Los Angeles Dodgers, showcasing his enthusiasm for baseball. Mr. Ashley also enjoyed singing karaoke, bringing joy to those around him. His commitment to his passions and his community will be fondly remembered.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Brenda K. Ashley; his son, Stephen Brant Ashley; and his cherished grandson, Brant Ashley. He also was predeceased by two brothers, Jack and Billy Ashley, and two sisters, Wilma Vaughn and Brenda McMahan.

Mr. Ashley is survived by his three sons, Kim Ashley (Carol), Keith Ashley (Karen), and Justin Ashley; his sister, Judy Burgess; six grandchildren, Jordan (Hayden), Darren (Susannah), Davis (Ashton), Bryson, John, and Jessica; and three great-grandchildren, Bluford, Sullivan, and Hampton.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to LaDonna Bowman and Hospice & Palliative Care of the Piedmont for their unwavering love, care, and support over the years.
