Brenda Edmunds Lewis

Brenda Edmunds Lewis, 82, of McCormick, SC, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Self Regional Healthcare. Born in McCormick to the late Paul Jackson and Lillian Oculese Holiday Edmunds.

She was employed for several years by Monsanto and was well-known for her delightful cake baking, which brought joy to many in her community. Brenda and her husband were owners of Edmunds Sandwich Shop, a local establishment celebrated for its hotdogs over many years. Following her retirement from the sandwich shop she worked at the McCormick Senior Center for many years. Demonstrating a commitment to personal growth, Brenda proudly earned her high school diploma from McCormick High School in 1984, joining her daughters and siblings in this achievement. She was an active member of Buffalo Baptist Church.

Outside of her professional and family life, Brenda enjoyed outdoor activities such as cutting grass and fishing, as well as crafting.

She was married twice; first to the late Ben White and later to the late Jeff Lewis. Along with her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Jackson “Jackie” Edmunds, Jr.

Brenda is survived by two daughters, Roxanne Robinson (Jimmy) of McCormick, SC, and Tonya Miller (Acy) of Graniteville, SC; a brother, Ronnie Dale Edmunds (Virginia); and a sister-in-law, Mary Gable Edmunds, all residing in McCormick, SC. She was also a loving grandmother to Allison Moore (Jason), Anthony Miller, Tyler Miller (Darrah), and Brandon Miller (Paige), and great-grandmother to Alaina, Addison, Ashton, and Saige.

A celebration of Brenda Edmunds Lewis’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Buffalo Baptist Church, with Reverend Marty Wiles officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
