Bettina ‘Tina’ Dublin, 77, of Abbeville, South Carolina, beloved wife of Wayne Dublin, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the Abbeville Area Medical Center. Throughout her final hours, her devoted husband, Wayne, remained steadfastly by her side, a testament to their enduring love.
Born in The Bronx, New York, Tina was the cherished daughter of the late Costantino and Anna Bucello Grande. She dedicated many years of service to the Social Services department in Dutchess County, New York, before her retirement.
Tina loved watching Hallmark movies, especially the Christmas ones, and always enjoyed a trip to the casino with family and friends. Her family describes her as funny, always laughing and cracking jokes. Her daughter, Donna, holds particularly fond memories of their time together, especially their Yahtzee games and their much-anticipated bingo trips. She was determined to attend her granddaughter's wedding this July and successfully achieved her goal, declaring that nothing would stop her from being there.
She was preceded in death by her son, Dennis Politi, and two sisters, Barbara and Constance (Connie).
Tina's memory will be forever cherished by her loving husband of 30 years, Wayne Dublin, who resides at their home. She is also survived by her daughter, Donna Mercorelli, and her husband Nicholas; two step-children, Eric Dublin and his wife Tammy, and Jennifer Ricafort-Denali and her husband Omar; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Tina leaves behind a legacy of love in her twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Harris Funeral Home. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Father Jacob Joseph officiating. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery in Anderson, SC.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Tina's memory to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306.
