Barbara Jean "Livingston" Elwell

Barbara Jean Livingston Elwell, 84, wife of the late Luther E. Elwell, of Abbeville died Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Beaufort Nursing and Rehab. She was born in Cross Hill to the late Andrew Jackson Livingston and Sarah Workman Livingston.

Mrs. Elwell was a graduate of Clinton High School and attended Winthrop College (presently Winthrop University).  Cooking and reading were her favorite pastimes.  She spent much of her time caring for others and offering support.  Mrs. Elwell was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

She is survived by daughters, Jackie Elwell Errett (John) of N. Huntingdon, PA and Kathy Elwell of Easley; a sister, Jackie Roper, of Columbia; two grandchildren, Nathan and Sara; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 10:30AM – 11:30AM, Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Harris Funeral Home.  Funeral services will begin at 11:30AM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jason Wilson officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
