Archie E. Beauford

Archie E. Beauford, 91, of Abbeville, SC, husband of the late Nettie Sue Botts Beauford, died Friday, September 4, 2026, at his daughter’s home in Ninety-Six, SC. He was born in Bradley, SC to the late Joseph Byrd and Lila Mae Moseley Beauford.

A 1952 graduate of Greenwood High School, Archie was known for a life shaped by dedication, steady work, and the simple pleasures he loved most. He gave more than 50 years of devoted service to Milliken & Co - Abbeville Plant, where he served as a supervisor. His long career reflected commitment, reliability, and pride in a job well done.

Outside of work, Archie found great enjoyment in gardening, hunting, and fishing. He was also a member of the former Abbeville Garden Club, an interest that reflected his appreciation for the outdoors and the satisfaction of growing things. Whether in the garden or spending time hunting and fishing, he embraced the activities that brought him peace and happiness.

His life was marked by hard work and a quiet devotion to what mattered most. Archie was a member of Ebenezer Church of Abbeville.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Kevin Lee White.

Archie is survived by two daughters, Faye B. Turner (Macky) of Ninety-Six and Janice B. Hawthorne (Ray) of Abbeville; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1:30PM to 2:30PM, Friday, September 11, 2026, at Harris Funeral Home, 302 N. Main Street, Abbeville, SC. Funeral services will be begin on Friday at 3:00PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
