Annie Ruth McCarley Ashley

Annie Ruth McCarley Ashley, 82, formerly of 301 Charlie Creek Road, Lowndesville, died Monday, Jan. 20, 2003, at Willow Creek Nursing Center in Iva.
Born in Anderson County, she was a retired textile employee with Abbeville Mills and was a member of Lowndesville Baptist Church.
Surviving is a brother, James A. McCarley of Abbeville.
She was the widow of James Ashley and the daughter of the late Thomas and Sallie Conwell McCarley. She was preceded in death by a brother, John Thomas McCarley Jr.
Graveside services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Iva City Cemetery. The body is at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home, Abbeville.
The family will receive friends at the home of her brother, Mr. James McCarley , 263 S.C. 71, Abbeville.
The family suggests memorial be made to the charity of one?s choice.
