Ann Rutland

March 13, 1942 — November 18, 2021

Ann Rutland, 79, of the Savannah Lakes Village, SC, died Thursday, November 18, 2021 at the Hospice House in Greenwood, SC. She was born in Jacksonville, FL to the late Paul and Margaret DeBevoise.

Ann, a 1960 graduate of Albany High School, was employed as a clerk, for many years, with the Hillsborough County Court House in Tampa, FL until her retirement. She enjoyed the Florida sunshine, her beautiful flowers and the Silver Sneakers program at the YMCA. Ann also enjoyed listening to music and dancing. She recently relocated to Savannah Lakes Village in McCormick, SC with her kids, to be near her sister and enjoy the beauty of Lake Thurmond, its birds and wildlife. Ann attended the Lutheran Church by the Lake and was a beloved member of their Prime Timers ministry.

In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by a brother, James DeBevoise and a sister, Mary Lou Kufeld and her husband, Art.

She is survived by her son, Michael Rutland of Tampa, FL; daughter, Lisa Rutland; sister, Paulette Britt and her husband, Doug all of McCormick, SC; several nieces and nephews; and her “other kid”, Stacy Galloway.

Details of her memorial service will be announced at a later date.
