Alfred Robert Moore

January 25, 1937 — April 5, 2019

Alfred Robert Moore, 82, of the Savannah Lakes Village, husband of Katherine Andersen Moore, died Friday, April 5, 2019 at Self Regional Medical Center. He was born in Amityville, NY to the late Alfred E. And Theresa Podsiadlo Moore.

Mr. Moore was a 1959 graduate of Lehigh University where he was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. He proudly served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Carrier Franklin D. Roosevelt (CVA-42) where he was an Air Intelligent Officer. Mr. Moore retired from AMP Incorporated as an Industrial Engineer after 26 dedicated years. In 2001, Mr. and Mrs. Moore moved to the Savannah Lakes Village where Mr. Moore enjoyed fishing and playing golf. He was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Moore was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Moore.

Mr. Moore is survived by his wife of 58 years of the home; three sons, Michael Moore and his wife Meg of Lancaster, PA, Christopher Moore and his wife Angel of Lancaster, PA and Thomas Moore and his wife Kimberly of Littleton, CO; a brother, Leonard Moore and his wife Lois of Wading River, Long Island, NY; a sister, Mary Eilers of Spring Hill, FL; a sister-in-law, Vera Moore of New Port Richey, FL; eight grandchildren, Matthew, Conner (Bethany), Jacob, Riley, Nicholas, Thomas, Kai and Katherine.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11AM Saturday, April 13, 2019 in Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 1401 Greenwood Hwy, McCormick, SC 29835 with the Rev. Father JP Narichetti officiating.

Memorial contributions, in memory of Mr. Moore, may be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont, 408 W. Alexander Ave. Greenwood, SC, 29646
