Ada B. Troyer Chupp

Ada B. Troyer Chupp, 96, of Honea Path, SC, wife of the late Roman J. Chupp, died Friday, September 11, 2026, at the Callie and John Rainey Hospice House in Anderson, SC. She was born in Trail, OH to the late Benjamin and Mattie Erb Troyer.

Mrs. Chupp lived a life marked by devotion to home, family and faith. She was a homemaker, and in that calling she gave steady care, daily work and quiet strength to those around her. Mrs. Chupp was a charter member of Whispering Pines Mennonite Church. Her life will be remembered with respect and gratitude by those who knew her, and her memory will remain a blessing to all whose lives she touched.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters, a son-in-law and a daughter-in-law. 

Mrs. Chupp is survived by two sons, Vernon Chupp of Due West, SC and Darrel Chupp (Dorothy) of Bonners Ferry, ID; three daughters, Katie Ann Brownlow of Honea Path, SC, Anna Mae Hershberger of Delta, CO and Mary Ellen Lawson of Honea Path, SC; seventeen grandchildren, thirty-eight great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Katie Troyer.

The family will receive friends 4:00PM – 7:00PM, Sunday, September 13, 2026, at Whispering Pines Mennonite Church. Funeral services will be 10:00AM, Monday, September 14, 2026, at Whispering Pines Mennonite Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests all memorials in memory of Mrs. Chupp be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
