Mary “Ann” Ketron, 71, wife of Charles Ketron, of Anderson, SC, formerly of Blountville, TN, died Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the Kent General Hospital in Dover, DE. She was born in Washington County, TN to the late James and Gladys Poore Gross.
Mrs. Ketron was a graduate of Holston/Boones Creek High School. Selecting her profession proved to be an excellent choice. She graduated from McNeely Beauty College and worked as an esthetician for many years. A successful entrepreneur, she owned and operated salons. Mrs. Ketron was well known and respected for her expertise. She was a member of First Creek Baptist Church.
Mrs. Ketron is survived by her husband 33 years, Charles, of the home; four children, Tammy Jeffries of Orlando, FL, Patty Smith (Kevin), Michael Georgia, and Charlie Ketron (Rachel) all of Anderson, SC; a brother, Bud Gross (Brenda), of Johnson City, TN; seven grandchildren, Danielle, Morgan, Jessica, Nathan, William, Lauren and Aaron; and six great-grandchildren, Kyla, Jeri Ann, Jayden, Jase, Christian and Josie.
The family will receive friends 6:00PM – 8:00PM, Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Harris Funeral Home, Abbeville Chapel. Funeral services will be 2:00PM, Friday, April 27, 2018 at First Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Brandon McManus officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
