Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Services continues the tradition to encourage a funeral ceremony to honor those who made life special, we also understand the growing concern of hosting a public funeral ceremony during the current COVID-19 outbreak. Currently, we are following all the guidelines from the CDC, NFDA, SCFDA, federal, state and local governments and emergency services. The CDC, as of Monday, March 16, 2020, www.cdc.gov has recommended public gatherings not exceed 10 people for the next 15 days.
Below you will see our procedures for addressing any public concerns.
In light, of these recommendations, we are asking families to either postpone services or hold private services restricting those in attendance to immediate family and very close friends or a graveside service.
Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Services proudly provides live streaming services held at our chapel and is happy to post a video recording to our website. We also offer facebook live gravesides where possible.
Arrangement conferences may be made using a teleconference or other online resources.
We encourage the use of our online guestbooks for condolence messages to the family. Also, limiting physical contact, the use of hand sanitizer found throughout the funeral home, and we have taken measures for extra daily cleaning of the entire funeral home.
We will make every effort to accommodate families making funeral arrangements and in conducting services in any capacity needed to ensure their safety while honoring their loved one.
